Patrick Manson (1844-1922) was a Scottish physician, who showed that insects are responsible for the spread of diseases like elephantiasis and malaria.Short Biography:
Manson spent many years in practice in the Far East. On his return to London, he founded the School of Tropical Medicine. His work on malaria earned him the nickname "Mosquito" Manson.
