Olga Savchuk was born on September 20, 1987 in Makeevka, Ukraine. She is a professional tennis player.

Biography and career :

When she was eight years old she started playing tennis and her favorite surface became the hard surface. Alona Vladimir is the person who takes care of her training being her coach. She has a Double Handed Backhand and is a right-handed player.

Besides tennis, in her spare time, she likes listening to music and reading books. Her parents’ names are Nikolay and Elena Savchuk and they both are engineers. She has a brother, named Ivan Savchuk.

Since she became a professional player she ahs won three ITF single titles and one ITF doubles titles. She hasn't won any WTA title or Grand Slam title. In 2006 she participated at the US Open and Wimbledon a nd qualified for the first round, but was eliminated and couldn't reach the second round.

She had also participated at the Australian Open where reached the third round. This is her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament and this was the moment when she was spotted and entered into the public's attention.

In 2007 she played into the first and second round at Roland Garros, but unfortunately stopped there. On February 20, 2006 she was ranked on the ninety-second position in Top 100 and this is the highest position of her until now in this top. She has talent and if she works hard she could win important matches and titles. We wish her good luck and hope that injuries won't affect her and her tennis career.
