Michael Berrer was born on July 1, 1980 in Stuttgart, Germany. He is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

He started playing tennis at the age of seven and in 1999 he became a professional tennis player. Karsten Arriens is his coach in the present. His parents are Manfred and Barbara Berrer and they have a daughter too, Christine.

He hasn't won any single or doubles ATP title until now (2007), but he won four single Challengers. On August 1, 2005 he won the first Chellenger at Segovia on hard after beating in the final Yeu-Tzuoo Wang.

In 2005 he won another title, this time at Eckental on carpet and his opponent in the final was Steve Darcis. In 2006 at the tournament in Helsinki he won a third title, after he beat in the final Tomas Zib.

Michael Llodr a was his opponent in the final of the Challenger in Heilbronn in 2007 and Berrer was the winner. As a single player in 2007 he was one of the quarter-finalists at the ATP tournaments in Los Angeles and Hertogenbosch.

The same performance was achieved at the Challengers in Wolfsburg and Rome. At the Challengers in Karlsruhe, Sarajevo and Furth he was one of the semi-finalists but after that round he lost and at Chiasso he had a better performance, he was a finalist, but unfortunately didn't win the final. As a doubles player he and his partner Gil played the final at the Challenger in Karlsruhe.
