Marion Jones (full name Marion Lois Jones) was born on October 12, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. She is a former American track and field athlete of Belizean descent.
Biography and Career :
Marion discovered her passion for sport while being only a child and her motivation and talent made her a very famous athlete. She won many awards and became an idol for a lot of athletes and we must admit that if it weren't for that episode with the steroids she would probably still be one of the greatest athletes of the moment.
Between 1998 and 2002 she was married to C.J. Hunter and 5 years later on the 24th of February 2007, she married Obadele Thompson.
In 2000 she received the title of Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year and she also won three gold and two bronze medals
at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
In October 2007 when she recognized she had taken steroids before the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics and soon after that she decided to retire.
