M. Night Shyamalan (Manoj Nelliattu Shyamalan) was born on August 6, 1970 in Mahe, Pondicherry, India. He is a notable writer-director of major studio films, well known for making movies with contemporary supernatural plots that usually end with a twist ending.
Biography and Career :
Nelliattu C. Shyamalan and Jeyalakshmi are his parents and they are a physician and an obstetrician and gynecologist. He had spent his childhood in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania.
The semiautobiographical drama "Praying with Anger" was his debut film. In 1995 he came out with "Wide Awake", but it was released only after three years. He is also the person who wrote the screenplay for "Stuart Little".
Other movies of his are "Unbreak
able", "The Sixth Sense", "Signs", "The Village", "Lady in the Water" or "Avatar: The Last Airbender". In 2008 his next project is "The Happening". He collaborates with James Newton Howard for the musical score.
He is a very talented man and he has many fans all over the world. They can't wait to see his next movies and we are sure that his success won't stop here. During the years he was two times nominated for the Academy Awards.
