Lene Marlin (birth name Lene Marlin Pedersen) was born on August 17, 1970 on Tromso, Norway. She is a well known Norwegian musician.
Biography and Career :
She started to sing when she was very young but she truly became an artist when she was a teenager and she had her first guitar and started to compose her own songs. Her debut took place at the age of eighteen when she launched her first single, "Unforgivable Sinner", which became number one and stayed on that place for more than eight weeks.
The single was the fastest selling single in the history of Norwegian music and was included on the soundtrack of the movie "Schpaaa". After this success her first album "Playing My Game" also appeared and it was appreciated and won the MTV Europe Award in 1999.
On September 22,
2003 appeared her second album called "Another Day" and after this in 2005 appeared the third called "Lost in a moment". The last album was also promoted in Asia after a trip in Taiwan and Lene made a special version included a song which was a cover after a famous Chinese singer's song Faye Wong.
In 2006 she sang with Lovebugs, a Swiss band on their single "Avalon" and the song became a Top 10 one. She also wrote with Stargate a song for Rihanna.

- She won four awards: Best Pop Solo Artist, Best Single ("Sitting Down Here"), Best Newcomer and the Artist Of The Year at the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy awards 1999 (Spelleman), as well as the MTV Europe award for Best Nordic Act, presented in Dublin, Ireland in November 1999.
