Las Ketchup is a Latin Grammy Award nominated 4-girl group comprised of sisters Lola, Pilar, Lucia and Rocio Munoz from Cordoba in Andalucia, Spain.They are the daughters of Juan Munoz, a flamenco guitarist known as El Tomate (The Tomato).
Biography and Career :
Juan Munoz, their father is a flamenco guitarist also known as El Tomate and they thought that "Las Ketchup" would be an appropriate name. The group was founded in 2002 and they sing Flamenco, Pop and Chill out.
They collaborated with Shaketown-SKT Music, Warner Music and Sony BMG. In 2002 they released their first album, called "Las Hijas del Tomate", and it was placed on the first place in the Spanish charts. It also went twelve times Platinum.
After four years they released the second album, "Un Blodymary". D
uring the years the girls won many awards, for example 'Ondas award' for Best New Artist/group, Billboard Latinos award for Best pop album from new generation, Record Fair MIDEM for Best New Artist/group, Amigo Award for Best New Group or Spanish Love Award for Best love making song.
They are loved and appreciated all over the world and have a successful career. We are sure that even though the second album didn't have the success of the first one they will continue their careers and will continue conquering the hearts of million people.
