she could not fill Helen O'Connell's shoes. It TCM to release the better vocal on compact disc recorded for the movie. Jimmy Dorsey was an outstanding musician and he had many hit (no vocal) recordings. She did she ever hear John Silver,Fingerbustin'. I read her comments about JD. I'm sure he did not care to renew her contract. He tried to treat her like a lady. Boy did that fail.
