Juan Martin del Potro was born on September 23, 1988 in Tandil, Argentina. He is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

He started his professional career but hasn't won yet an ATP title or a Grand Slam tournament. His coach and the person who is next to him at all the tournaments is Eduardo Infantino. He is a tall player who is right-handed and has a two-handed backhand.

In 2007 he managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament in Adelaide and the quarter-finals of the tournament in Nottingham. As a doubles player he was one of the semi-finalists at Nottingham, along his partner Andrei Pavel from Romania. He also played the final of the Challenger in Sunrise along Prieto in 2007.

In 2006 at the French Open and US Open he played in the first round of th e competition but lost it every time. Next year he played at Roland Garros in the first round and in the second round at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

In 2005 he won three Futures tournaments and at the end of the year he was placed on the 177th position after he had started the year on position 1077. On July 9, 2007 he reached the 54th position in Top 100 and this is the highest position for him until now (2007).

He had helped his team in the Davis Cup and this way Argentina went in the quarter-finals of the competition. His favorite surface is hardcourt and we wish him luck in this career and many victories.
