Frederick Alexander Lindemann, 1st Viscount Cherwell (1886-1957) was a British physicist.
Short Biography:
He was director of the Physical Laboratory of the RAF at Farnborough in World War I and personal adviser to Churchill on scientific and statistical matters during World War II.
He was professor of experimental philosophy at the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford 1919-1956.
