
Dream are an pop girl group from the USA. The group of 4 originally came together in October 1998.
Career:
They were taken in by talent scout Judith Fontaine, who selected Holly Blake-Arnstein who was born on August 3, 1985, Melissa Schuman who was born August 21, 1984, Ashley Poole who was born May 10, 1985 and Alex Chester who was born December 28, 1984. They were four teenagers from California. They comprised this new girl group. The initial name of the band of the girls was First Warning but later changed to Dream.
There were more changes were in the offing: the girls left the group Fontaine. They were then signed by Sean Combs to Bad Boy Records label. In the year January 1999, Chester was replaced by Blake-Arnstein's best friend, Diana Ortiz who was born September
23, 1985. Fontaine later sued Sean Combs and Blake-Arnstein, Schuman, and Poole. But she later went on to loose the case.
One major highlight in the career of Dream was the 2001 TRL tour. They opened for artists such as Destiny's child, Eve and Nelly. They were a part of a segment of MTV Cribs show. Play along Toys released dolls of the group in 2001.
In the year 2008, in January 28, Melissa Schuman claimed that after a failed attempt to bring the original members of Dream back again, she along with Ashley Poole were going on a venture to start a new band. They are planning to have a new name and host a unique reality show that would document their auditions for new members. The name was chosen for the band came from the symbol of the Phoenix, . The phoenix is a bird which rises from the ashes. The girls felt they are done with their past. They are currently working on their first album.
