Dolores Erickson is a model and her appearance on the cover of the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass album made her famous.

Biography and Career :

She started a career in the fashion world when she participated at a modeling contest for a department store, Frederick & Nelson in Seattle. At first she just accompanied a friend of hers, but then the coordinator of the store asked her to participate. She went to the University of Washington, but quitted because she wanted to be a model.

Instead, she appeared in commercials and advertisements for Macy's and Max Factor. She signed a contract with the Ford Modeling Agency. Dolores Erickson appeared on the Cy Coleman, Nat King Cole and The Sandpipers' album covers.

When she was photographed in 1965 for the album cover of Herb Al pert and the Tijuana Brass she was all covered with shaving cream. The album was called "Whipped Cream & Other Delights".
