Carmelo Anthony (full name Carmelo Kyan Anthony) was born on May 29, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He is a professional basketball player. He plays for the Denver Nuggets NBA team and for the USA National Team.
Biography and Career :
He studied at the Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and the Syracuse University. In 2001 he was elected The Baltimore Sun's metro player of the year and the Baltimore Catholic League player of the year.
He played one year at Syracuse University and averaged 22.1 points and 10.0 rebounds. In his last game he had 20 points and 10 rebounds. He managed to win the tournament's Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors. Besides that he won the FIBA World Championship All-Tournament Te
am, the USA Basketball Men's Athlete of the Year and All NBA Third Team in 2006 and the All NBA Third Team in 2005. He is also the winner of the 2007 NBA All-Star trophy.
