Anna Rawson was born on August 5, 1981, in Adelaide, Australia. She lost her mother when she was a child and was brought up by her father and brother. She was always interested in sports and started loving golf when she became a teenager.
She was also interested in modeling. In 1997, Anna participated in a competition organized by Dolly magazine. She reached the finals but couldn't clench the title. But the publicity was enough and Anna Rawson soon started getting offers for appearing on television.
At the same time, she was keeping pace with golf. She had become a part of National Senior squad of her country. In 1999, Anja was victorious at South Australian Golf Championship and Victorian Junior Championship. She
also got the request to play at Australian Open in 2000.
Anna was offered a scholarship in golf by University of Southern California. While at the USC, Anna guided her college golf team to their first national championship. She passed USC and grabbed a Communications degree. She now focused on a full time career in golf under the tutelage of Brady Riggs.
Anja reached the Top 10 at the Orient Masters in China and Top25 at the Futures Tour. In 2006, she played for the first time at the Ladies European Tour. Anja had reached the Top 20 for three times in the first season. In 2008, she entered the LPGA Tour.
In the meantime, Anja Rawson was also continuing with her modeling job. She appeared in magazines like Emirates Women and Interview. She has written articles on golf for several magazines. Anja also has a clothing line with J. Lindeberg.
