Anna Chlumsky is the daughter of Nancy and Frank Chlumsky. Since her mother was in the advertising agency she entered the show business at a very young age. She wanted to become a paleontologist she also worked as an intern for the The Field Museum in Chicago, grading fish. She completed her graduation from University of Chicago in 2004 and has got a degree in International Studies.
She has worked as a restaurant guide in Manhattan and as a food critic. She also went to the Walther Lutheran High School in Melrose Park, Illinois. She also went to the Grace Lutheran Church and School in River Forest, Illinois for grade school. She has worked as an editorial as
sistant at the HarperCollins Publishers.
She acted in the movie Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain with Christina Ricci. She also gave her screen test for the next part of Jurassic Park but unfortunately the role was given to Ariana Richards. She was also seen in the episode of 30 Rock called "The Fishing Irish" on 8th March 2007.
In this series she played the role Liz Lemler. She also appeared in an episode of the NBC drama series Law & Order that was aired on 12th January 2007. She played the role of Mary Calvin in this series. She also appeared in three episodes of the ABC drama Cupid. She also acted in Unconditional an Off Broadway production by Brett C. Leonard at The Public Theater. She has also appeared in the BBC movie In the Loop with The Sopranos' James Gandolfini. In this movie she plays the role Liza, a State Department assistant and the movie is directed by Armando Iannucci.
