Ahmed Aboul Gheit was born on June 12, 1942 in Heliopolis and he was a famous Foreign Minister of Egypt since July 2004 until the government of Ahmed Nazif took over. Ahmed Aboul Gheit also served as Egypt's ambassador to the United Nations. In December 2005 he has began mediating the Chad-Sudan conflict.
