Kelly Ripa (birth name Kelly Maria Ripa) was born on October 2, 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey, USA. She is an American Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress, television personality and talk show host.
Biography and Career :
She attended Eastern High School in Voorhees Township, New Jersey and this was the place where she started her acting career, playing in school theatre plays. After she got some roles in local theatre plays she was chosen for the role of gothic teen turned suffering heroine Hayley Vaughan on the soap opera "All My Children".
Kelly won five Soap Opera Digest Awards for playing Hayley on All My Children in 1996, 1998 & 2000. She filmed for this soap-opera until 2002 and in the same time she worked for the long-running talk show "Live".
In September 2003 sh
e started filming for another television serial "Hope & Faith" which appeared on small screen for three seasons and after this was cancelled. In June 2004 she signed for continuing her contract for the show "Live" for eight millions dollars.
After 2003 she appeared in some small roles on big screen in movies like: Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), Fly Me to the Moon (2007) and Delgo (2007). In April 2007, Kelly Ripa hosted the 2007 TV Land Awards.
