Zoe Kravitz (full name Zoe Isabella Kravitz) was born on December 1, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother and grandmother were actresses and her father, Lenny Kravitz, was a rock musician. Being influenced by her family, it wasn't a surprise that young Zoe chose acting as her career.

She began her career with modeling and was seen across spreads of magazines like Teen Vogue and Jalouse France. Following a controversy over her photographs, Zoe appeared in the Elle magazine's March 2007 issue.

After this, Zoe stepped into the world of acting. Her first two movies of 2007 were "No Reservations" and "The Brave One". In 2008, she acted in the movies "Birds of America" and "Assassination of a High School Presid ent". Both the movies were comedies. Zoe Kravitz has also appeared in the music video of the song "I Know" by Jay-Z.
In 2008, Zoe was involved in controversy once again for photographs with revealing dress. She also reportedly dated Ben Foster.
