Yitzhak Shamir (born in 1915) was a foreign minister under Menachem Begin 1980-1983, prime minister 1983-1984, and again foreign minister in the Peres unity government from 1984.
Short Biography:
In October 1986, he and Peres exchanged positions, Shamir becoming prime minister and Peres taking over as foreign minister. He was reselected in 1989. Shamir was a leader of the Stern Gang of guerrillas (1940-1948) during the British mandate rule of Palestine.
