Woody Allen (full name Allen Stewart Konigsberg) is an American film director and actor, known for his cynical, witty, often self-deprecating parody and off-beat humor.

Short Biography:

His films include Sleeper in 1973, Annie Hall in 1977 (for which he won three Academy Awards), and Hannah and her Sisters in 1986, all of which he directed, wrote, and appeared in.

From the late 1970's, Allen has mixed his output of comedies with straight dramas in which he does not appear, such as Interiors 1978 and Another Woman 1988.
