Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957) combined Marxism and psychoanalysis to advocate sexual freedom, for example in Die Sexuelle Revolution/The Sexual Revolution 1936-1945, and Die Funktion des Orgasmus/The Function of the Orgasm in 1948.
Reich died in prison following committal for contempt of court.
