William Gilbert Grace (1848-1915) was a English cricketer. Short Biography:
By profession a doctor, he became the best batsman in England. He began playing first class cricket at the age of 16, scored 152 runs in his first Test match, and scored the first triple century in 1876.
Grace scored more than 54,000 runs in his career which lasted nearly 45 years. He scored 2,739 runs in 1871, the first time any batsman had scored 2,000 runs in a season. An all-rounder, he took nearly 3,000 first class wickets. Grace played in 22 Test matches.
