Short Biography:
The so-called Grignard reagents (compounds containing a hydrocarbon radical, magnesium, and a halogen such as chlorine) found important applications as some of the most versatile in organic synthesis.
Grignard shared the 1912 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his work on organometallic compounds.
