Veronica Hamel was born in November 20, 1943 in Philadelphia. She is an American Actress and model.
During the educational life Hamel completed her graduation from Temple University and starts working as a secretary for a manufacturing company of ironing board covers. After some time she was discovered by Eileen Ford and she began her career as a fashion model. Very soon she got roles in the movies Klute, Beyond the Poseidon Adventure and When Time Ran Out.
Hamel worked as a model for commercial televised in the US in the last cigarette. She started appearing in TV series in 1975. She got a chance for the "Charlie's Angels" but her role is reportedly declined. She had been a model in prin
t ads not just for Slims but also for Pall Mall Gold cigarettes. Hamel is mostly remembered for the role Joyce Davenport, the hard-driving public defender and love interest of police captain Frank Furillo. Her name is nominated five times for that role in the long running TV series Hill Street Blues.
In 1986 Hamel got a leading role in the Alan Alda's film A New Life as his doctor and love interest. After that in 1990 she was cast as Elizabeth in the movie Taking Care of Business as the wife of Charles Grodin's character in the movie. In recent years Hamel worked in the TV series Third Watch as Margo Shephard, Jack's mother. She was named on US magazines "Best Dressed" list for 1983.
