Biography and Career :
Her parents are of Turkish and Norwegian origins. The modeling career started for her at the age of 13 when she was eating in a restaurant with her parents. Some scouts discovered her and she became a great fashion model. She didn't abandon her studies and after graduating from Rudolf Steiner School at 18 years old, she went to Italy to be a model.
Ford Models was the modeling agency she signed a contract with. She got a contract then with Elizabeth Arden and decided to move to the United States. There she became Almay's spokesperson. She started appearing in campaigns and advertisements for Elizabeth Arden, Revlon, Lay's, B
arbour, Diesel Jeans, Hanes Underwear, JH Collectibles, Lipton's Tea, Mikimoto and Victoria's Secret. Magazines like Bride's, Flare, Shape, FHM, Sports Illustrated and Zest are some of the magazines which had her in their pages. In 1999 she was the host of Melodifestivalen show and in 1992, 1993, 1997 and 2004 she was present in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. "Batman & Robin" represents the debut for her in the acting world.
On August 24, 1996 she married Olaf Thommesen, who is a politician, and the couple has two kids, Julia Annette who was born in 1998 and Hannah, born in 2000.
