Vasilisa Bardina was born on November 30, 1987 in Moscow, Russia. She became a professional player in 2003.
Biography and career :
She is one of the youngest players in the feminine circuit. When she was a child she started playing tennis and in 2003 she turned professional. Since becoming a professional player she has won three ITF single titles and three ITF doubles titles.
She didn't win any WTA tournaments until now (2007), but specialists say she is a real talent and soon we shall see that. On January 15, 2007 she was placed on the forty-eight position of Top 100. that was the highest position for her until now in the top.
She dreams to reach one of the top positions in the feminine circuit and to achieve this goal she is training hard. In 2004 and 2006 she particip
ated at the US Open but unfortunately her results weren't too good. She was eliminated in the first round every time.
At Wimbledon in 2006 she was also eliminated in the first round. The same result she had in 2007 at the Australian Open. Until now she couldn't qualify at the French Open.
She is still very young and has a long way ahead. If she is a hard-working person she could achieve many successes and win many tournaments. We wish her good luck and hope no injuries will affect her.
