Vanity was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on January 4, 1959. She is a model singer and actress.

Vanity's birth name is Denise Katrina Matthews , She belongs to German and African parents. She is a lead singer of all girl group "Vanity 6", she is a glamorous Canadian ex-model. She married with Anthony Smith in 26 March 1995 and divorced in 1996. Vanity firstly came on the screen in Klondike Fever the biographical tale of writer Jack London in 1980. After that she appeared in much more films like Terror Train, Tanya's Island, The Last Dragon and Never Too Young to Die.

During her career she gave two best performances in 52 Pick-Up in 1986 and in Action Jackson in 1988. Afte r that unfortunately the remainder of Vanity's film work was not so fine and she got minor roles in several low budget films like Neon city and Da Vinci's War.

After that in 1995 Vanity renounced from Hollywood and entertainment industry and dedicated her life to the Christian faith.
