Vanessa Bell Calloway was born in March 20, 1957. She is an American actress worked in a number of films like Biker Boyz, Love Don't Cost a Thing, Coming to America and Cheaper by the Dozen.

Vanessa Bell borned in Cleveland , Ohio. She got degree of Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Ohio University where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Calloway learned dance with Alvin Ailey , George Faison and Otis Sallid.

Calloway starts her career as a dancer in Michael Bennetts orignal broadway production of Dreamgirls. Calloway initiates acting in the long-running soap opera All My Children in 1982. She came in various guest roles in television including Falcon Crest, 1st & Ten, L.A. Law , Diagnosis Murder, The Closer, and All of Us. Calloway build her film debut in the comedy Coming to America as Eddie Murphy's subservient bride-to-be.

During her career Calloway married to anesthesiologist Dr. Anthony Calloway since 1988. She has two daughters, Ashley and Ally. Ashley is one of the stars of the BET series Baldwin Hills. She is also a very passionate Christian.
