Valentin Badoi (full name Valentin Emanoil Badoi) was born on December 16, 1975 in Turnu-Magurele, Romania. He is a famous Romanian soccer player.

Biography and Career :

Valentin Badoi started to play professional football at a local team in his birth town Turris Turnu-Magurele, in C Division (the 3rd Romanian league). After a season spent here he was remarked and transferred to FCM Bacau, a team without many objectives from the First League.

He made his debut in the First League on August 7, 2000 in a match versus Steaua Bucharest which ended with a fabulous score 4:3 for Steaua.
He played 2 seasons for FCM Bacau and he scored 13 goals in 59 games.

At the end of the season 2001-2002 Mircea Rednic, the coach of FCM Bacau left from the team and went to Rapid Bucharest and took with him Valentin Badoi.
Badoi established a fabulous record here: he played in all games for Rapid in 3 consecutive seasons.

In the first season for Rapid Bucharest he won the champion title and the Romanian Cup and even succeeded to score 7 goals.In 2005-2006 Rapid with Valentin Badoi as a titular player, became vice-champion and succeeded to won the Romanian Cup again.

In the European Cups, Valentin Badoi debuted in the season 2002-2003 in UEFA Cup with Rapid Bucharest and also played in the qualifiers for UEFA Champions League in 2003 but they were eliminated by Anderlecht Brussels.

In the season 2005-2006 Rapid Bucharest participated again in UEFA Cup and had the best season ever. They succeeded to qualify in the groups phase after they eliminated Feyernoord Rotterdam. In a group with Shakhtar Donetsk, PAOK Salonic, Rennes and VfB Stuttgart they obtained 3 victories and they lost one match against VfB Stuttgart. In the next round they eliminated Hertha Berlin and after this another German team, Hamburg SV.
In the quarters final they were eliminated by Steaua Bucharest, their great Romanian rivals from the internal competition after two equal games.

In the season 2006-2007 they succeeded to qualify again in UEFA Groups in a group with Hapoel Tel Aviv, Paris Saint-Germain, Mlada Boleslav and Panathinaikos Athens.

For Romanian national team he played 10 games but didn't succeed to score. He debuted on February the 9th, 2005 in a friendly game against Slovakia.
