Her modeling career started after she signed a contract with Elite Modeling Agency. She was the first color woman who appeared on the cover of magazines like GQ, Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and the Victoria's Secret catalog. Soon she became an important name in the fashion industry and she received jobs to appear in commercials and advertisements for brands like Pepsi, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria's Secret, Cover girl, Swatch, Michael Kors, Anna Sui, Liz Claiborne, Lenscrafers, Ralph Lauren and Dolce &
