Tweet was discovered by a then young and not very well known Missy Elliott after winning an open audition for Elliot's all-girl band called "Sugar". Tweet picked up a guitar in Missy's studio one day and began to sing an acoustic version of "Motel". Her audition impressed Missy very much, she had her bring the same guitar to a performance for Elektra Chairman/CEO Sylvia Rhone. Missy had a great talent like no one had ever seen, and by 1997 she had proved it with her chart-thrasshing debut album. Tweet was working with the girl group, that Missy had left, and was signed for many big contracts that kept promising an album to do well,but never came through to be realized. Instead the girls were left in a fix where they weren't allowed to work on any other projects, but infact they couldn't put any work into the current project too. She was stressed and ready to give up on her dream and aims. Tweet finally abandoned the project, miserable she decided to go to her parents place in Panama City, Florida and began dealing with the life outside the music industry.
