Trish Van Devere was on March 9, 1943 in Tenafly, New Jersey and she is an American actress. She was born as Patricia Louise Dressel in Tenafly, New Jersey. She was married to the actor George C. Scott from 1972 until his death in 1999. She moved back and forth between Greenwich and Malibu, and finally settled in Malibu; she later adopted George D. Scott Jr. and raised him with George C. Scott until his death.
She played the original Meredith Lord on One Life to live in 1968, as well as the lead in the 1972 film One is a Lonely Number, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe award. She appeared alongside Scott in The Last Run, The Day of the Dolphin, and Th
e Savage is Loose, the latter film directed by Scott himself, Beauty and the Beast, Movie Movie, and The Changeling.
She has also performed frequently in both television and film, and appeared in programmes such as The Fall Guy, Hard castle and McCormick, Highway to Heaven and Love Boat. She also starred alongside Peter Falk in a 1978 episode of the long-running detective drama series Colombo, entitled Make Me a Perfect Murder, in which she portrayed high-flying TV producer Kay Freestone.
