Timea Bacsinszky was born on June 8, 1989 in Lausanne, Switzerland. She is a young professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

She is a right handed player who has a double handed backhand. At only three years old she started touching the ball and racquet and play tennis. Later she became a professional tennis player. Her favorite surface is hard and her favorite sports beside tennis are handball and hockey. In her spare time she listens a lot to music.

Erfan Djahangiri is her coach and the person who goes with her at the tournaments and tennis events. Her parents' names are Igor and Susanne. They also have two daughters, Sophie and Melinda and one son, Daniell.

Until now (2007) she has won six ITF single tournaments, three ITF doubles tournaments but no WTA tourn aments. Approximately two thousand hundred dollars were won just from tennis. In 2007 she qualified for the first time at Wimbledon and played into the first round before being eliminated and at the French Open into the second.

On June 11, 2007 she was ranked on the 89th position in Top 100. It is the highest position she has ever reached in this top. She is very young and has a lot potential. With hard training and if she is a serious player she can become a champion. We wish her good luck and hope that she won't suffer injuries so that she can train and focus on what she is doing.
