Tila moved along with her family to Houston, Texas when she was nearly a year old because of the war that took place in Vietnam. Tila Tequila lived with her family in a very strict Buddhist area till she was nearly eight years old. Tila Tequila had a very bad childhood. At the age of eleven years Tila tired taking heroin. When she was thirteen she starting taking alcohol, because of her bad habits Tila was sent to the boarding school and when was fifteen she started smoking and got a tattoo done on her body. When she was sixteen she ran away to New Work to begin her career.
After graduatin
g from high school she was once spotted at a mall by a Playboy Scout for modeling nude for a magazine. She accepted the offer, passed the test and shifted to Southern California to model for the magazine. Tila Tequila became famous due to the import racing scene. She has also modeled for the cover page of Import Tuner magazine. She was spotted at car shows like Hot Import Night and even for a video game "Street Racing Syndicate".
Tila Tequila took part in a reality show in 2003 in which participants had to do any task. She also hosted a dance show called "Pants off Dance off" for the channel Fuse TV. In April 2006 Tila modeled for the cover page of Stuff Magazine. Tila was given a pet name Tequila at the age of 13 when she tasted alcohol.
Apart from modeling, acting and hosting shows on Television she is a music lover. Tila Tequila has her own band by the name "Beyond Betty Jean". Her first music album was released on 24th April 2006.
