Biography and Career:
She was brought up in a big joint family. She and her siblings were exposed to arts at a very early age by their parents. It was as a child that Tiffany developed her love for music.
Her family underwent a huge change after their house was sold. Initially the stayed on rent, but moved to Atlantic City once the owners sold the house. At the age of 10, Tiffany had sung "I Will Always Love You" to the audience of Tiffany Lounge, a popular musical venue of the city. She then started taking voice lessons and auditioned for Star Search, in 2002. There she sang "Stormy Weather
" and secured a spot in the 2003 version of the show.
Tiffany appeared four times on Star Search and was the first in her group to earn perfect scores in every appearance. Her fourth appearance brought her the Grand Champion title in the junior singer group. In 2003, she signed a music deal with Columbia Records. She also considered a career in acting. Apart from playing the role of a church singer in The District, Tiffany also appeared in Oprah. Soon after, she was offered a role in Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2004) by Tyler Perry. Towards the end of 2004, she recorded a self-titled EP album. But the album was not released.
Her self-titled debut album ultimately saw the light of the day in December, 2007 under the label of Columbia Records. The single "Promise Ring" from the album reached #101 on the Hot 100 chart and #66 on the US R&B charts. She was subsequently invited to participate in the Screamfest '07 tour.
Her next single "Lay Back, Chill, and Be Free" brought her greater success and also appeared as a guest on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She promises to be a big rising star in the future.
