
Tiffani Amber Thiessen was born on January 23, 1974 and she is an American television and film actress. After many years of going by her full name, Tiffani Amber Thiessen is now credited as simply Tiffani Thiessen.
Biography and Career :
As a child, Tiffani Amber Thiessen competed in many beauty pageants, and she won the Miss Junior America pageant in 1987. Tiffani Amber Thiessen's first big break in show business was her role on the television program Saved By The Bell, as nice girl teen Kelly Kapowski. This was very different from her next major role, as a duplicitous vixen, Valerie, on Beverly Hills, 90210.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen later starred in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl and the short-lived action show Fastlane.
Her transition to movies has not gone well so far
, as most of her movies, including Love Stinks, have been critically panned. In 2002, Tiffani Amber Thiessen appeared in the film Hollywood Ending by Woody Allen.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen also guest starred as "Amy" on the television show Just Shoot Me!.
In March 1999, Tiffani Amber Thiessen's boyfriend at the time, actor David Strickland (Suddenly Susan), committed suicide.
In the years 2002-03, Tiffani Amber Thiessen remains busy acting. Tiffani Amber Thiessen's third TV Series, where she was a main character, was on "Fastlane" opposite Bill Bellamy (from "Love Stinks") and Peter Facinelli (her best friend, Jennie Garth's husband). Tiffani Amber Thiessen played Billie Chambers, a tough-boss, with a mysterious background. Unfortunately, the show cost FOX a lot of money and wasn't increasing their ratings much, so the show was cancelled, but still managed to finish their first and only season.
2002 was also the year where Tiffani Amber Thiessen had a more-than-aquaintance with legend, Woody Allen. When Tiffani Amber Thiessen found out he saw her tape and wanted to see her, she was ecstatic. Tiffani Amber Thiessen didn't know what to think. He wanted her for the role of Lori, but Tiffani Amber Thiessen didn't look young enough. So Woody made her a character just for Tiff. Tiffani Amber Thiessen played actress Sharon Bates. Months after completing her role, Thiessen admits, "It was all very exciting, but to this day, I still don’t know what the movie is about. That’s just how Woody works."
After the cancellation of "Fastlane", Tiffani Amber Thiessen sprung back to comedy in the sitcom, "Good Morning, Miami", where Tiffani Amber Thiessen played yet another boss, with beauty, brains and at the same time, wit. This character was similar to hers on "Just Shoot Me", but wired fans to the screen even more. Tiffani Amber Thiessen was originally cast for a few episodes, then kept adding on. However, in January of 2004, the show was reported to be on hiatus due to a recent lawsuit made by the producers of the show, "Will & Grace." No official reason was confirmed, but in late May 2004, the show was officially cancelled.
In 2005, Tiffani Amber Thiessen released a short (21 minute) film she had directed called "Just Pray". It placed at several film festivals. It was the first major effort from her new production company, Tit4Tat Productions.
On July 9, 2005, Tiffani Amber Thiessen married actor Brady Smith. It is the first marriage for both.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen is of German, Greek, Turkish and Welsh descent. "I'm a mutt. I have so much of everything in me, and half of it I don't even know. German on one side; Greek, Turkish and Welsh on the other. My mom is very olive-skinned; I get my blue eyes from my dad."
