Thomas Hill Green Thomas Hill Green (1836-1882) attempted to show the limitations of Herbert Spencer and John Stuart Mill, and advocated the study of Kant and Hegel.

Short Biography:

His chief works are Prolegomena to Ethics (1883) and Principles of Political Obligation in 1895.

Born in Yorkshire, he was professor of moral philosophy at Oxford from 1878.
