The band All-American Rejects is an American hard rock band that was brought together in the place called Stillwater, in the state of Oklahoma in the year 1999 while members Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler were still in high school.

Both of them initially met in the year 1997 at a club where a prior band of Nick Wheeler was doing a concert. It was then that Ritter suggest that he be given a chance for himself for bass. Further Ritter and Wheeler went on to form The All-American Rejects, the name coming from a combination of two phrases "the all americans" and "the rejects".The group is lead by the vocalist and bass guitarist Tyson Ritter, lead guitarist, Nick Wheeler, rhythm guitarist Mike Kennerty, and drummer Chris Gaylor.
They attained main line success with thei
r first album from the studio, The All-American Rejects, that they came out with in the year 2003. The record was given a Platinum certification by the RIAA and had the hit single "Swing, Swing". Their subsequent album called Move Along in the year 2005 brought them more success.
They produced 3 hit singles; "It Ends Tonight", "Dirty Little Secret" and "Move Along", each of which featured in the top fifteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Both "Move Along" and "Dirty Little Secret" generated over two million sales in terms of digital downloads in the USA. The record received a double platinum certification by the RIAA. Their third album, When the World Comes Down, came out on December 16, 2008. It received a gold certification by the RIAA. The first song, "Gives You Hell", went on to become their first song to be achieve international acclaim: the highest being a #4 on the Hot 100 chart, #3 on the Australian ARIA Singles chart and featured in the top twenty of the UK Singles Listings.
Since the beginning of their stint in the music industry, They have generated sales of over 10 million albums all across the globe. They achieved a ranking of #73 on the "Hot 100 Artists of the 2000s" and #183 on Billboard magazine's "Billboard 200 Artists of the Decade" list.
