Besides being a talented Academy Award nominated actor, Terrence is also a singer. He received a total of five awards in the 2000-2006 period and a total of eight nominations from 2000 to 2008.
He started acting since the late 80s but his first successful role was in "Mr. Holland's Opus" in 1995. Several other roles successful among the African American audience followed this one until 2004. Since then he started getting some very important roles like Ray, Lackawanna Blues, Crash, Four Brothers, Hustle & Flow, Get Rich or Die Tryin', Idlewild, The Brave One.
Before starting a music career, Terrence also played a se
