Susan Blakely was born on September 7, 1952 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. She is a former fashion model and actress.

Biography and Career :

She is the daughter of a career Army officer, Blakely. Susan Blakely was a fashion model and came to Hollywood in the 70's. There she started an acting career. Her first important role was in 'The Towering Inferno'. She received the year's Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Emmy nomination from the television academy for the role in the mini-series 'Rich Man, Poor Man'.

In 1981 she played in 'The Bunker' the role of Eva Braun and her mate was Anthony Hopkins (Hitler). Movie critics said her best performance was in 'Will There Really Be A Morning?' for which she was nominated in the Best Actress category of the Golden Globes. In 20 02 she won the Best Actress Award at the California Independent Film Festival for her service in the 'Hungry Hearts'.

She got married to Stephen Jaffe, a former television producer in 1982.
