Somaya Reece (full name Ginie Somaya Reece) was born on December 27, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. A naturally theatrical child, Somaya spent much of her youth singing in church, rapping in the streets and dancing in after-school programs. “My dream was to become a great actress and musician,” she admits.
