Thomas Browne (1605-1682) was an English author and physician.
Short Biography:
Born in London, he travelled widely in Europe before settling in Norwich in 1637.
He is noted for his personal richness of style in Religio Medici/The Religion of a Doctor in 1643, a justification of his profession; Vulgar Errors in 1646, an examination of popular legend and superstition; Um Burial and 77w Garden of Cyrus in 1658; and Christian Morals in 1717.
