Sheila Rowbotham (born in 1943) pamphlet Women's Liberation and the New Politics in 1970 laid down fundamental approaches and demands of the emerging British women's movement.Short Biography:
Rowbotham first taught in schools and then became involved with the Workers' Educational Association. An active socialist since the early 1960s, she has contributed to several left-wing journals.
Other publications include Hidden from History, Women's Consciousness, Man's World both in 1973, and Beyond the Fragments in 1979.
