Sharon Stone was born to Dorothy and Joseph Stone on March 10th, 1958 at Meadville, Pennsylvania in United States. Stone completed her high school from Saegertown High School and briefly attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Sharon began her career as a model. She moved to New York in 1977 after winning the crown of Miss Crawford in Meadville. She was first signed for modeling by Ford Modeling Agency. However Stone dreamed of becoming an actress and hence auditioned for various roles. She worked as an extra in a Woody Allen movie “Stardust Memories (1980)”followed by a miniature role in a horror flick “Deadly Blessing (1981)
”.
1984, Stone received a part in the movie “Irreconcilable Differences” alongside Ryan O’Neal. She appeared in various movies throughout the 1980’s but did not leave her mark.
1990 marked the year for Stone when she got successful as an actress due to her movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Total Recall”. She also posed nude for Playboy that same year and won a place in 25 sexiest stars of the century.
Her best movie till date which jolted her success was “Basic Instinct” in 1992. The movie was a blockbuster and Sharon found a place in the 50 most Beautiful People in the world.
She received the prestigious “Star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the year 1995 and was named the Top 100 Movie Star of All Time.
After some commercial flops, Sharon Stone returned on screen again with “Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction” on March 31st, 2006. It was a mega hit. Her other 2006 films include “Alpha Dog” opposite Bruce Willis and “When a Man falls in the forest”.
Sharon was married thrice till now, initially to George Englund Jr., then from 1984 to 1987 to Michael Greenburg and from 1998 to 2004 to Phil Bronstein.
