She started her career in the fashion world in 1991 when, although young, she got famous after four months as Guess Jeans executive, Paul Marciano, discovered her. She appeared in a campaign for Guess which was shot in Yuma by Ellen von Unwerth. She also appeared in commercials for Calvin Klein's perfume, "Escape", Ralph Lauren, Alberta Ferretti, La Perla, and others. She is considered very beautiful, with special features and appeared in magazines like Vanity Fair, Vogue Italia, US Vogue, French Glamour, US Glamour, Officiel (French), Max (Italy), Cosmopolitan, Allure and Sports Illustrated. She also played in John Mellancamp's video, "Wild Night".
