Sean Penn was born in August 17, 1960 in Santa Monica, California and she is one of the most famous american actor and director. He is the son of the director Leo Penn and actress Eileen Ryan. He has two brothers, the musician Michael Penn and the actor Chris Penn which died in 2006.
Biography and Career :
Penn's first appearance was in 1974 in an episode of the Little House on the Prairie television series, which his dad directed.
His first big role was in 1981 in the movie "Tap" where she played a military high-school boy.
Later in 1982 he made a cameo in the comedy "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".
In 1993 he got a role in the drama "Bad Boys" and he earned favorable reviews and he became a serious actor.
In 1985 when he married Madonna he became really famous
and got a memorable role in "The Falcon and the Snowman" as Andrew Daulton, a movie which followed a real criminal case.
In 1986 he got one of his famous roles in the drama "At Close Range", another film which followed a true soty and again he earned positive reviews from critics.
Then in 1995 he got his first Academy Award nomination at category for "Best Actor" for his performance in Tim Robbins' drama "Dead Man Walking".
In 1999 he became famous for his comedic performance in Woody Allen's "Sweet and Lowdown" for which he was again nominated for an Oscar.
In 2001 he got his first nomination after he portrayed a role in "I am Sam".
In 2003 Penn finally won his Academy Award's trophy for the role as Jimmy Markum in the crime-drama "Mystic River". In 2004 he played a psycho-killer who is murdering the president in "The Assassination of Richard Nixon".
Later in 2008 he received his fifth nomination at Oscars for his gay-role in "Milk" for the "Best Actor", but in that night he got his award, being his second Oscar trophy.
For the "Milk" role he became a teen-sensasion.
As a director Penn made his debut with the movie "The Indian Runner" based on Bruce Springsteen's song "Highway Patrolman". He also directed a music video for Shania Twain. In 1995 he directed "The Crossing Guard" in 2001 "The Pledge" and in 2007 "Intro The Wild".
