Sean was born in Bethesda, Maryland but grew up in Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia. He is a child of Vivienne and Donald Bellisario. He has a dual citizenship both in Australia and United States.
He studied secondary education at Bonita Vista Junior High School in Chula Vista, California. His parents are separated and her mother married the American TV producer and screenwriter, Donald P. Bellisario.
As an actor, Sean did several television and movie projects. In television he appeared in the following programs: 'The Random' where he played a starring role, 'Harts of the West' by CBS as Zane Grey Hart; 'ER', and 'Jag' as Da
nny Walden. He was best known for his role in the TV drama series 'NCIS' as Timothy McGee.
In films, he appeared in 'Hocus Pocus' as Thackery Bin; 'This Boy's Life' and 'Too Romantic' a Todd Field's film. In addition was also part of the following movies: Backfield in Motion in 1999; Murder on the Rio Grande or also known as River of rage: The Taking; Trial by fire in 1995; The Lottery in 1996; Fall Into Darkness in 1996; For My Daughter's Honor in 1996 also, The Sleepwalker Killing in 1997 and Spring Break Lawyer in 2001.
