Sarah Michelle Gellar was born on April 14, 1977 in New York City, New York, United States. She is an well known American actress. She is perhaps best known for her role in the acclaimed television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award.

Gellar has acted in many movies such as : "The Grudge", "Scooby-Doo" and "The Return".
She has also acted in several TV serials like, "Robot Chicken", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "King of the Hill".
She was nominated for one Golden Globe Award, besides she has taken other 14 awards in different categories and nominated 25 times.
