
Sarah Harding (full name Sarah Nicole Hardman) was born on November 17, 1981, in Manchester, England.
Biography and Career:
She had developed a passion for music from very early age. After completing her schooling, she attended karaoke nights at a local pub regularly. This developed her vocal skills and introduced her to the local music scene.
Initially she had sung backup vocals for a band called Project G. But the band didn't carry on and she took up the job of a local barmaid. It was then she auditioned for the reality show Popstar's second season. Simultaneously, she had participated in FHM Magazine's High Street Honeys competition, but left it for her success with Popstar.
After making to the final 10 on Popstar, she grouped with bandmates Cheryl Tweedy (Cole), Nic
ola Roberts, Nadine Coyle, and Kimberley Walsh, following the show's rules. They took up the name of "Girls Aloud" and released their first single "Sound of the Underground" in December, 2002. This brought them the victory in Popstars and they sold around half a million copies of this single.
With this success of their single, Sarah and the girls released their first album, titled "Sound of the Underground". The album reached the 2nd spot within the first week featuring hit singles like "No Good Advice" and "Life Got Cold".
Following this, the group started working on another album named "What will the Neighbours Say" and set out on their first tour. With the rising fame, they got nominated for BRIT Award's Best Pop Act and received Band of the Year award from Glamour magazine.
Outside, Sarah Harding received modelling offers from Ultimo, Coca-Cola and Sunsilk hair products.
