Samuel L. Jackson (full name Samuel Leroy Jackson) was born on December 21, 1948 (1948-12-21) in Washington, D.C, U.S. He is an American Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning actor.
Biography and Career :
He was born to Elizabeth Jackson and his father who didn't live with family and died from alcoholism. Samuel spent his childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee and had no other siblings. He first studied at Riverside High and after went on to Morehouse College in Atlanta and finished his studies in 1972.
At first Jackson participated mostly in theatre plays such as "Home" and "A Soldier's Play". Later he debuted in film with "Together for Days" and moved to New York City for a better chance but he ended up in spending about 10 years on the theatre stage. "Coming to America
" is among his first movies in the movie career and this was one of his first small roles. Later he acted in "School Daze", "Do the Right Thing" and "Goodfellas" are some of the other movies in which he had smal parts.
Later he began getting some major roles and started becoming more and more famous for his skills as an actor. Some of the movies are "Pulp Fiction", "A Time To Kill", "Die Hard with a Vengeance", "The Negotiator" and others.
